Aha! This is easier than I thought! Okay, this bracelet to the left is one of my new seed bead series. I absolutely HATE stringing seed beads. HATE it!!! Those tiny little holes make me crazy! BUT! I love the millions of gorgeous colors they come in. This particular bracelet has matte purple and matte black seed beads in a geometric pattern with a glass 'window' sealing them in place. All the metal is sterling silver (of course), toggle clasp hand made by me! The next picture is of the back of one of these 'cups'. The texture is a gorgeous floral pattern I made with my rolling mill, so the bracelet is technically reversible. Although, being a purple lover, I'd never wear it backwards! Please ignore the green cast to these pieces. When I took the pictures, I was standing on the deck, in the sunshine surrounded by trees - I'll learn! LOL!

These can be custom made in any color, any design, and even with other things in each cup. Something different from me anyway!!

Back tomorrow hopefully with some new pictures! This could be fun!

As Time Goes By!!!!

Yeesh, some blogger I am! LOL! Okay, here's a new idea. I think I'm going to start posting my jewelry here as I make it. Hopefuly that will get the ball rolling for me to actually make stuff!! So now to just get the whole picture thing going. Back sooner than last time, with pictures and more!
Have a great day!

Happy June 19th!

I spent a couple of days last week taking a glass bead making class from Jennifer Geldard. If you make beads and want to learn from an amazing teacher, she's the one! And such a nice person too! Classes at Glass Smith in Victoria are fantastic - nice studio, great people, tons of fun - it's all good!! I feel totally rejeuvenated after spending some time with my glass friends. We spent way too much time laughing and giggling. It was great!

I'm spending today on the torch, practising some of those new techniques I acquired - can't promise anything too spectacular, but at least I'll have the torch going! Now that my granddaughter, Freya is in daycare and on a regular schedule, I'll be able to get so much more accomplished day to day! Whew! Looking forward to it!

Have a great day, the sun is shining here, although I know I won't spend much time admiring the fluffy clouds! I'm heading to the studio! Cheers!!

Lemmings

Why lemmings? Well, it seems that everyone nowadays has a blog, and I'm following the crowd - which I guess makes me one of the lemmings. But at least this way, I can ramble on and only those that wish to be subject to my babblings will have to read them! :)

It's another gray day on the West Coast of BC, which suits me fine! I love rain. Most of my friends and family think I'm nuts because I absolutely LOVE the rain. It could rain everyday and I wouldn't complain. With the weather in mind, I'm going to spend the day in the studio finishing some custom work for the gallery I sell at, and hopefully get the motivation to make a few beads. I need to make myself a ring too so I'm not so sure the bead thing will happen. I'm going to take a classwith well-known beadmaker, Jennifer Geldard in a couple of weeks, so I suppose I better practice up so I don't look like a twit when I get to class!!

A quick word about the furry fellow above - this is Goofy. He's our 'huge' cat, one of the seven that have permanenet residence with us. My granddaughter calls him 'Mean Goofy' for good reason - he only tolerates her and if he gets the chance, he'll take a swipe at her. He loves attention from my hubby and I but he will certainly let us know if he's not 'done' yet, by swiping at us. It's always a risk when you pet the little bugger! But he certainly is gorgeous, and he does have many redeeming qualities (He's hilarious most days!), so he's a keeper!

Hope the sun is shining on your world (or raining if you prefer!). I'm off and running for the day!
